Global University’s motto is, “Impacting eternity by winning the lost and training the found, everywhere.” One way we make that impact is by starting mission projects all over the world. Each project has a different scope and goal, but all seek to meet the spiritual needs of the people they are trying to reach.
We want to take a moment and update you on the incredible things each project is doing both internationally and in the United States.
INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
Arabic Bible College – Global University will soon launch Arabic Bible College, delivering a 6-step training program to Arabic speakers via the internet regardless of their nation of residence.
In October 2014, the first cohort of undergraduate students began studying through Armenia Bible College, using GU courses translated into Armenian. The leadership hoped to enroll 50 students, and 75 students enrolled on the first day!
A translation team has been hard at work to translate 52 Global University undergraduate courses into Burmese to serve 1,000 Bible school students in Myanmar, upgrading their skills to better serve, grow and plant churches. The first cohort has enrolled and are studying in Burmese, while other students are still studying in English. During a trip to Myanmar in July, a strategy was identified to rapidly expand the access to Global courses in Burmese to better equip students to serve in the heart of the Buddhist world.
Decreasing Internet speeds and increased government regulations on Internet availability have made it very difficult for China Bible College to operate. However, enrollment is still growing! Our latest numbers show a more rapid growth than in previous months and we are now at 22,100 students!
This newer project is focused on equipping immigrant pastors from West and North Africa to reach Western Europe, which is increasingly Muslim. More updates from European School of Ministry will come as the project moves forward.
Our latest numbers show that 3,000 students continue studying at degree levels through Global University – Cuba, plus 1,000 at lay training level.
There are more than 6,250 people enrolled in Global’s India College of Ministry. Each student is required to plant a house-church before they begin their second year of study, which means one year from now there will be at least 6,250 new churches planted across India.
Iran Bible College continues to serve the needs of Iranians inside and outside of Iran at the training, undergraduate, and graduate levels. New doors of opportunity are still opening.
Vietnam Bible College – This project is serving more than 5,000 students in 18 different nations.
